A vacant store in the center of Edinburgh should get a new, gastronomic use, a juice bar. An analysis of the surroundings reveals the target group: students and full-time employees in offices, aged 20 to 45 years of both sexes. The cherimoya therefore offers only eight seats, but the products are intended to be taken away or can be consumed in a standing position.
The Cherimoya juice bar offers a tropical place to relax in the harsh environment of Edinburgh: by using water, real plants, mood lighting and jungle sounds, different senses of the customers are stimulated, creating a holistic experience. The eye-catching feature is the backlit sculpture made of used shutters that encloses the room. Colorful patterned fabrics and dark wood can be found in the seating areas, while the counter is highlighted by exposed concrete and black glass. The lower part of the shop window is covered with foil, which protects the seating area behind it from view and gives the impression from the outside that the humidity inside condenses on the glass.
